‘Recognizing evidence in everyday circumstance, notice and adjust the degree of definiteness of vision, fixity of purpose, steadiness of faith, and depth of gratitude.’…. Conclusive summary from the works of Wallace D. Wattles, 1910
It is not unusual in consciousness circles and conversations to ask ‘What are my circumstances showing me?’ or ‘Who am I being that the conditions are what they are?’ I am used to these kinds of inquiries in my environment and among my friends and colleagues. Today however, raised the possibility of a new way to approach and consider the context of these common questions.
Rather than looking ‘out there’ to consider what we are being shown or how we are being that circumstances are appearing as they are, the suggestion is to turn this typical inquiry around. Turning it around might have us ask the familiar questions a little differently and provide us with an opening for adjustment internally ‘over here’. What if we asked, ‘How might I adjust the vision I am holding?’ With vision tweaked, ‘Am I able to stand in the purpose I’ve revised?’ ‘Am I strong – steadfast- in my trust and belief of the vision’s viability?’ ‘Am I able to capture and sustain a depth of gratitude for my vision-fulfilled?…. before I have physical evidence of its accomplishment?’
Can I pull up the discipline and commitment to on-goingly create life from this perspective… with this degree of clarity and intention?
