Simultaneously, we are fulfilling universal Intention and individual Want. These two are linked – Intention – the work of Essence and Want – the pull of Expression. Our Wants are the demands we put on Intentions. In our humanity, there is no escaping this relationship. Between the two, we hold the tension and the space in which Potential can do its work. In Essence, we source clarity. In Expression, application is generated. Pure Desire lives between these – the one and only factor that elegantly magnetizes the two.
This week’s living question – our question to live is key to the inquiry that reveals individual IntentionWant:
Our want is to know and our intention is to be. Our humanity is the distillation of these two – paradoxically – similar and contradictory forces. What we are, strangely, is a peculiar alchemy of these two impulses. I think the ‘pure desire’ is indeed this alchemy at the heart of our existence.
Each one’s want and intention is unique to the design of who we are. We know IntentionWant through individual resonance at three levels of experience… for OurSelf, with Other, In World. Through individual experience, we can access, distinguish, and articulate IntentionWant.
